The role
We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join us on a contractor basis. This is a senior-level position that offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will play a pivotal role in our product lifecycle, taking ownership of complex projects and guiding them through every stage of development.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the entire product development cycle, maintaining oversight from the initial approval phase all the way through to mass production.
- Coordinate and manage comprehensive testing for LED fixtures, including mechanical reviews and electrical, thermal, and photometric evaluations.
- Partner with our Product Managers to define clear project objectives, testing scopes, and technical requirements to ensure successful outcomes.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We value candidates who bring the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Proven experience working within the lighting industry.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a history of performing at a supervisory level.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities to foster effective teamwork.
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and providing actionable design recommendations.
- Hands-on familiarity with tools and equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and DC or AC power supply design.
- Fluency in English.
