Lakera.ai is looking for a Senior Product Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our team and help us build the security foundation for the future of AI. At Lakera, we work with Fortune 500 companies and foundation model providers to protect against adversarial threats, and we are the team behind the popular AI security game, Gandalf.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core product features while working directly with our founding team.
- Solve complex algorithmic challenges with a focus on pragmatic, efficient results.
- Balance the need for scalable architecture with the speed required to ship features quickly.
- Scale our software stack and algorithms to handle the most demanding use cases.
- Manage and improve our DevOps stack to refine our internal development workflows.
- Help define and maintain high standards for our software engineering processes.
Must-haves
- At least 6 years of experience writing production-level code or a track record of significant organizational impact.
- Experience leading teams or building technical infrastructure while remaining hands-on with the code.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Golang.
- A strong focus on customer needs and product-oriented thinking.
- The ability to work independently to solve abstract problems and deliver results.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset suitable for a fast-growing, early-stage environment.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- An active history of contributing to open-source projects and participating in developer communities.
- A deep interest in the field of AI security.
