Quote Velocity is a technology company focused on customer acquisition in the insurance market. We build scalable products that improve the consumer shopping experience and support growth for our clients. Our work centers on creating personalized connections that help people find the coverage they need. We are now seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join our remote team and contribute to the continued development of our custom applications.
Key outcomes
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of custom applications and features that support consumers, clients, and internal teams.
- Manage the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment, and code review through active participation in pull requests.
- Apply deep knowledge of software engineering and database architecture to maintain system performance, security, and reliability.
- Work closely with marketing and design teams to ensure products meet usability and performance standards.
- Monitor production systems in real time, identify unhandled exceptions, and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience building and maintaining custom applications in a team environment or through independent product development.
- Strong expertise in PHP, the Laravel ecosystem including Nova, Vapor, and Forge, as well as Vue 3, MySQL, and AWS.
- Proficiency in distributed and concurrent application architecture and database design.
- Ability to balance the need for robust, well-structured code with timely delivery when required.
- Proven capacity to identify and resolve technical architecture challenges independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Interest or prior experience in artificial intelligence and model training.
Compensation
We offer the flexibility of fully remote work along with structured collaboration during core hours from 0900 to 1200 EST.
