Senior Product Engineer at Quote Velocity

The role

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, though we require you to be available during our core working hours of 09:00 to 12:00 EST to ensure effective collaboration with the rest of the team. As a senior member of our engineering group, you will focus on building and maintaining custom applications that serve our consumers, clients, and internal staff.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of custom features, taking ownership of the process from initial requirements gathering and coding to testing and final deployment.
• Utilize your technical expertise in PHP, Laravel Nova, Vue 3, and MySQL to ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and performant.
• Collaborate across departments with marketing and design teams to improve product usability while monitoring real-time systems to address errors and exceptions promptly.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and product development. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior level engineer with a track record of building and maintaining custom applications.
• Deep expertise in the Laravel ecosystem, including Nova, Vapor, and Forge, as well as proficiency in AWS and distributed application architecture.
• A solid understanding of database architecture and the ability to balance the need for speed with the necessity of building robust, scalable systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset toward solving technical challenges.
• An interest in AI and model training, paired with a genuine commitment to continuous personal growth and development.
