Senior Product Engineer, Treasury at Vic.ai

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to focus on our treasury platform. This is a full-time, remote position for a candidate based in the United States who can work during EST hours. As a senior-level engineer, you will be responsible for building and scaling the core services that manage billions in transaction volume. You will work closely with our founders and a small, senior team to shape the future of agent-driven spend and corporate payment infrastructure.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and maintain robust services using Elixir and Phoenix, including APIs, data pipelines, and asynchronous processing tasks.
• Take full ownership of features from the initial product framing stage through to the front-end implementation required to ship them.
• Prioritize reliability for our Tier 0 and Tier 1 systems by maintaining high standards for observability, monitoring, and operational rigor.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a clear communicator who is fluent in English and comfortable working across both technical and non-technical teams. To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience, with a strong background in production Elixir and Phoenix.
• A proven ability to ship features end-to-end without needing handoffs.
• A solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and async processing.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated, fluent use of AI-assisted coding tools in your daily workflow.
• Residency in the United States with the ability to work during EST hours.
