About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer (Backend) to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of our systems, from initial product ideation to shipping reliable, high-performance features for our customers. You will work within a lean, high-impact engineering team to build the financial infrastructure that businesses rely on every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop flexible, AI-powered approval workflows that allow customers to configure complex business logic using natural language.
• Build autonomous, intelligent collections agents that handle payment reminders and escalations to reduce manual effort for finance teams.
• Architect and scale our core billing infrastructure to handle a 10x increase in throughput while maintaining cost efficiency and system reliability.

Requirements

We value builders who are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment. To succeed in this role, you should have experience shipping production-grade backend systems and a deep commitment to reliability. We look for engineers who communicate clearly, enjoy collaborating across functions, and are passionate about distributed systems. While we hire for general ability, our current stack relies on Kotlin, Spring Boot, Postgres, Google Cloud, Terraform, and BigQuery. Strong expertise in relational databases is considered a significant advantage.

This position is remote and available to candidates located anywhere.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of 149,000 USD to 169,000 USD. In addition to your compensation, you will receive the following benefits:
