Senior Product Engineer Backend Java at Secfix

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our backend team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position ideal for someone with 4 to 8 years of experience who is excited about working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. You will be a key player in shaping our product, working closely with our leadership team to build solutions that solve real-world challenges for our customers.

What will you do?

• Take ownership of the backend technical direction for your specific product area while collaborating with our CTO and Tech Lead.
• Partner with our product and design teams to plan, build, and ship features that directly impact our users.
• Manage the full lifecycle of your code, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance to ensure high performance.

You are an ambitious and independent engineer who thrives in environments where you can own outcomes rather than just completing tickets. You have a strong background in Java and Spring Boot, and you are comfortable working with Hibernate and SQL for database management. Because we operate as a remote-first team, you communicate proactively and are comfortable working in a collaborative, synchronous environment. While your primary expertise should be in Java, experience with Golang or TypeScript is a significant plus. You should also be familiar with AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software design principles that prioritize scalability and quality.
