Job Summary:
This role reports to the Head of Product and will be responsible for owning key parts of our core user experience, working cross functionally with engineers, PMs, other designers and business stakeholders to craft experiences that enable our users to be successful in their goals with Alto. An ideal candidate is comfortable with design ownership from initial research, usability testing and delivery, engaging users and working collaboratively with the cross-functional team throughout the process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design thoughtful and functional user experiences from ideation through delivery
- Drive a human centered design process that leverages design thinking to understand our audience and their needs and wants
- Work collaboratively with Design, PM, Engineering, Marketing and other business stakeholders to achieve valuable results
- Connect the qualitative and quantitative insights to make informed UX decisions and clearly communicate those decisions to the cross-functional team
- Actively seek feedback and give feedback to relevant the work we do
- Add to our vision for a cohesive product experience by having a perspective on where our product is going
- Leverage existing brand and design systems, and identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion
- Be an advocate for our users and design processes

Education and Experience:
- 6-10 years of experience in UX design
- Experience in a growth stage startup, including going 1-10 on multiple product experiences
- Experience in big tech or agency experience

Skills and Abilities:
Required
- Strong UX mindset to craft functional products
- Experience performing user research and usability testing
- Ability to blend the qualitative and quantitative understanding to paint a picture of users and their needs
- Strong collaboration with PM, Engineering, Marketing and operations
- Experience using design systems
- Experience using Figma
Nice to have, not required
- Experience with fintech
- Previous ownership over performance-driven growth funnels
- Experience building and scaling design systems
- Strong visual design capability
- Experience with marketing and brand
- Experience with Alternative investments or a particular interest in our space
