At Emi Labs, we are dedicated to increasing professional opportunities for the world's 2.7 billion frontline workers. This workforce represents 80 percent of global labor, yet they remain largely invisible due to a lack of accessible data regarding their skills and career histories. We are building the infrastructure to change this, starting with our flagship product, Emi. Emi is an AI-powered recruitment assistant that automates screening, skill validation, and interview scheduling, making the hiring process more human and efficient for large-scale enterprise companies. Since our participation in the Y-Combinator Winter 2019 batch, we have secured 11 million dollars in funding from partners like Merus Capital and Khosla Ventures to fuel our mission.

Key outcomes

• Establish a distinct visual identity for our high-profile B2B platform used by major global enterprises.
• Manage design initiatives from initial problem discovery and conceptualization through to final implementation.
• Create polished mockups and high-fidelity interfaces that enhance the daily workflow of recruiters.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to shape both immediate tactics and long-term product strategy.
• Perform user research to develop accurate personas and gain deep insights into user challenges.
• Evaluate user data and key performance indicators to drive continuous product improvements.

Requirements

• Deep passion for understanding user needs and solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in UI and UX design principles.
• Expertise in creating high-fidelity prototypes and mockups using tools like Figma, Sketch, or InVision.
• Ability to leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design choices and propose new research directions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering pixel-perfect results.
• Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to build and extend shared design patterns.
• Proven ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
• Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience in front-end engineering or software development.
• Background in designing enterprise-level B2B SaaS products.
• Prior experience leading a design or UX team.
