Senior Product Designer at Primer

Role at a glance

We are searching for a Senior Product Designer to join our team as our second dedicated designer. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our San Francisco office. You will work closely with our design leadership to tackle a wide variety of projects that go far beyond standard digital interfaces.

Your impact

• Take full ownership of design projects from initial discovery and user research through to final delivery.
• Collaborate directly with students, families, and teachers to translate their needs into intuitive digital dashboards, mobile apps, and operational tools.
• Design across diverse mediums, including data visualizations, physical school signage, and open house materials, to create a cohesive school experience.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of full-time experience in product, UI, or UX design.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design work and measurable project impact.
• The ability to clearly articulate the reasoning behind your design decisions.
• Proven experience managing the entire design lifecycle, including prototyping and user research.
• Proficiency in designing for both web and mobile platforms.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to define project scope.
• An enthusiasm for working on-site in San Francisco and a desire to contribute unique perspectives from diverse professional backgrounds.
