We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our remote, international team and help us shape the future of our biotech stack.
Key outcomes
- Design polished, intuitive interfaces that empower bioinformaticians and highlight the capabilities of our platform and Nextflow.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to translate complex requirements into high-quality product features.
- Help define and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and quality across all user flows.
- Contribute to long-term product strategy by applying deep user empathy and technical understanding.
- Develop concepts, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that address the unique needs of our technical user base.
- Find creative, efficient ways to deliver impactful work within a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in product design or a similar capacity.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates user-centric design and high-quality UI work for technical or developer-oriented products.
- Proven ability to execute end-to-end design solutions for large, complex systems.
- Technical proficiency in prototyping and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- A high level of intellectual curiosity and a drive to solve difficult, ambiguous problems.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Background as a developer or experience designing specifically for developer audiences.
- A keen eye for visual and interaction design details.
- Experience in scientific research beyond a high school level.
- A demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
