The Role

We’re looking for our next Senior Product Designer to support the SEGA Group (Shopping Experience, Growth & Artists) who will lead experience design direction and be influential in all phases of product development, from discovery to delivery to iteration. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to support independent artists with tooling and managing their artworks and shop, and create value for users to browse our vast library of content and find the 'very product for them'.

Reporting to the Product Director, this role will develop a holistic understanding of how users realise value, have the opportunity to define solutions at scale, and impact the user experience across the Redbubble ecosystem. You will be a key contributor to practise improvement initiatives to ensure our design practice is world class and be comfortable working at a strategic level of leadership for the customer journey, getting your hands dirty on the tools as required within cross-functional teams.

Key Accountabilities:

• Learn from our customers, directly. By conducting your own user testing, doing continuous discovery interviews, and executing research and insights to inform product strategy and direction in your space.
• Be hands-on in the craft of design by conducting workshops, sketching wireframes, and executing responsive web UI.
• Lead and take accountability for multiple streams of design, identifying suitable practices, and utilising human-centred design methods to ensure solutions are both usable and desired.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve problems for users.
• Apply your ability to think about the bigger holistic picture for the customer, to what we design and how we work together.
• Bring methods & practices to the Design team, upskilling and sharing knowledge with the team to support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor your fellow designers, in turn learning from them too, to help our practice excel. 
• Establish and grow relationships with other parts of the business to nurture and uncover opportunities for collaboration and efficiencies in design practices, and champion the role of Design in the business.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong user experience and product design experience, working as part of a cross-functional team.
• 4-6 years' experience in developing modern and delightful applications for responsive web, and knowledge of native mobile design conventions.
• Human-centered design mindset and creative problem solving.
• Systematic approach that helps you to create high-quality, functional, and scalable designs.
• Flexibility and productivity in the face of ambiguity and the natural change coming from the continuous discovery and delivery process.
• Experience using and working with various data sources and insights.
• Comfortability with modern design tools to create interfaces, flows, rapid and detailed prototypes.
• Ability to strongly communicate thinking and rationale.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative workplace, and curious by nature, always learning, always exploring, and always improving.
