We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team in a full-time capacity. At Stellic, we provide a unified SaaS platform that helps students navigate their degree paths and achieve career success. We currently support institutions like Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, and Ohio State, and we are dedicated to solving the complex challenges in higher education by replacing outdated tools with a modern, user-friendly experience. This hybrid role is based in San Mateo, where you will work on-site three days a week to help us scale our impact for millions of students.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with product managers and engineers to develop and implement creative design solutions that provide a delightful experience for our users.
- Address intricate product challenges by balancing business goals, technical constraints, and user needs to create simple, cohesive designs.
- Mentor and guide colleagues across various departments, including design, engineering, and partner success, to foster a collaborative environment and improve our overall design output.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional design experience, specifically focusing on complex systems.
- Proven ability to lead the end-to-end design process for large product areas, turning ambiguous business problems into clear, functional solutions.
- Demonstrated experience conducting user research to uncover insights that directly influence product direction and design strategy.
- Strong visual design capabilities and a sharp eye for detail, with a passion for creating engaging and high-quality product experiences.
