The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will tackle meaningful technical challenges that directly improve the lives of our users. You will sit at the intersection of product and data, helping us scale our impact while contributing to a collaborative and curious data science culture. This position is perfect for a mission-driven professional who wants to use their quantitative expertise to build software systems that put real dollars back into the pockets of millions.
A day in the life
- You will maintain reliable data pipelines to ensure our information remains trustworthy and actionable for the entire organization.
- You will collaborate closely with various product teams, including our government benefits, marketing, growth, and debit departments, to drive positive change through deep data analysis.
- You will actively contribute to the evolution of our data science culture by participating in code reviews, mentoring teammates, and helping us refine our processes as we grow.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in a startup environment. You possess a quantitative mindset and are comfortable navigating ambiguity to deliver clear insights. Your background includes the following skills and qualifications:
- Fluency in SQL and either Python or R.
- Proven ability to lead research efforts that uncover new product and system opportunities.
- Strong technical proficiency in causal inference, cost-benefit analysis, and working with probability distributions.
- Excellent communication skills that allow you to explain complex data topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of our users.

We believe in fair and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $165,000 to $200,000, depending on your experience and performance during the interview process.
