About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site position. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to our firmware engineering team, reporting directly to the VP of Product Development. You will be responsible for managing the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment, ensuring that our complex projects are delivered effectively, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor our development team by promoting a collaborative, analytical, and customer-focused approach to firmware engineering.
- Drive the delivery of embedded firmware releases using Agile methodologies to meet market demands for our IoT and Device Cloud services.
- Architect and design robust solutions for Linux-based platforms, including BSP integration, driver development, and the creation of network applications for our product line.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience is required, while a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a technology development environment, with a proven track record of shipping products on time and within scope.
- Extensive technical expertise in C programming, Linux, and embedded architectures.
- Strong proficiency in networking concepts, including TCP/UDP, VoIP, SIP, VPN, OpenVPN, and IPSec.
- Hands-on experience with Python, web development, and packet analysis tools like Wireshark.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage high-volume production of embedded devices.
- Excellent communication and influence-management skills to define architectures and troubleshoot performance issues.
