Senior Platform Engineer at Stora

We are currently building out our brand new Platform Engineering team at Stora, and we want you to be a part of it from the very beginning. As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone to help shape our technical direction and define how we handle infrastructure and observability. You will have a direct impact on the tools and systems that our developers rely on to build a world-class product, ensuring that our platform remains healthy, reliable, and performant as we scale.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is a foundational role where you will take ownership of our observability strategy and infrastructure management. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to design systems that provide deep insights into our platform, helping us move from our current setup toward a robust, cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of our observability stack, including the management of Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision core services and monitoring tools.
• Define and enforce strategies for application logging, alerting, and performance monitoring across our AWS environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in building and maintaining production-grade systems. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Extensive experience in designing and operating observability stacks, specifically with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
• Proven ability to build and manage infrastructure within AWS.
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining Terraform modules for infrastructure and monitoring.
• A deep understanding of how to troubleshoot complex production systems with a focus on long-term reliability.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to various team members.

Location

This position is based in the United Kingdom and operates on a hybrid model.
