We are Campminder, a team of over 80 people dedicated to supporting summer camps through our digital software solutions. For more than 20 years, we have helped this industry undergo a digital transformation, and we are proud to be a stable, profitable organization with a growing customer base. We value a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for making an impact to join us as we prepare for a June 2025 start.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position that offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. Whether you prefer to work remotely or spend time at our office in Boulder, Colorado, you will be a key part of our engineering department, providing technical expertise to help us evolve our infrastructure and security practices.
What will you do?
- Drive technical excellence within our engineering department by introducing innovative ideas, new technologies, and robust solutions.
- Support our delivery teams by managing build pipelines and implementing code-first deployments.
- Proactively identify technical challenges and take the lead on designing and implementing effective solutions.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have at least seven years of hands-on experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering. We are looking for someone with a strong background in building PaaS solutions and modernizing legacy VM-based platforms into cloud-native workloads. You should be comfortable working with languages like C#, JavaScript, or Golang, and have experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Proficiency in Git is essential, along with a working knowledge of at least four of the following areas:
- CI/CD Automation using tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
- Cloud platforms, particularly Azure, though experience with AWS or GCP is valuable.
- Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Modern delivery practices such as Agile, Kanban, or Lean.
- Observability and monitoring with tools like Datadog.
- Platform and network security best practices.
You should also be capable of managing networking infrastructure, including DNS, VPNs, and SSL certificates. Because we value collaboration, excellent communication skills are vital for working with product managers, tech leads, and fellow engineers.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive salary range of $128,000 to $150,000, plus participation in our annual bonus program. Beyond compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
- A 401(k) plan with a 4% company match.
- Flexible, trust-based paid time off.
- A $900 annual wellness allowance.
- 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave.
- The flexibility to choose your own operating system and work location.
