Senior Platform Engineer at Reforge

Role at a glance

This is a full-time, senior-level position focused on evolving our platform strategy and infrastructure. You will work in a remote capacity from anywhere, collaborating closely with our engineering leadership and fellow software engineers to standardize our deployment pipelines and observability tools.

Your impact

• Lead the transition of our platform strategy from Heroku toward containerized deployments within AWS.
• Design and implement standardized metrics and monitoring integrations to provide clarity across all engineering teams.
• Own the evolution of our development, staging, and production pipelines to ensure they remain efficient as we scale our business.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in cloud engineering and a collaborative spirit. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering and working with AWS or Google Cloud.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• At least 2 years of experience managing Docker containers in production environments.
• Deep familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL at scale.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to mentor others while building consensus across cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English.
