As a key brand within the Kao cosmetics portfolio, we have evolved from a small artisan shop into an international fragrance powerhouse. Our signature bath, body, and home products are found in luxury department stores, travel retail, and the world’s most prestigious hotels. We are currently seeking a Senior NPD Project Manager to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United Kingdom. This is a fixed-term position scheduled to run until the end of October 2026.
Key outcomes
- Oversee a specific segment of our New Product Development portfolio, proactively identifying and escalating risks related to cost, scope, and timelines.
- Provide clear direction for all projects within your portfolio while ensuring that dependencies are effectively managed.
- Lead cross-functional teams through every phase of the project lifecycle to ensure all objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Champion our stage and gate delivery processes by mentoring stakeholders and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and develop direct reports while offering support to the wider team to ensure collective success.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to resolve complex issues and mitigate potential project roadblocks.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Three to five years of experience in project management and line management, specifically within the retail sector and preferably in health and beauty.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven success working in cross-functional environments.
- Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A highly adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in fast-paced environments and navigating ambiguity.
- A proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving and team-based delivery.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- A recognized project management certification, such as PRINCE2 or an equivalent credential.
