Key outcomes

• Take the lead on the architecture, strategy, and design of our enterprise, research, and trading network environments.
• Drive the deployment of infrastructure specifically tailored for trading, with a primary focus on achieving peak performance and minimal latency.
• Proactively identify and resolve intricate network challenges to prevent any impact on our trading activities.
• Partner with internal departments to align our network capabilities with the evolving needs of our trading applications.
• Establish and uphold high technical standards, ensuring all network operations comply with industry best practices and regulatory mandates.
• Coordinate with remote datacenter personnel to address hardware, cabling, and optics complications.
• Create custom scripts and monitoring tools to advance our network automation initiatives.
• Spearhead projects aimed at scaling our network capacity to support our long-term business objectives.
• Serve as a technical authority, providing expert guidance on complex networking protocols.

Requirements

• Deep, expert-level knowledge of networking fundamentals and TCP/IP protocols.
• Hands-on experience working with hardware and operating systems from vendors such as Arista, Cisco, and Juniper.
• Strong proficiency in Python for the purpose of automating network tasks.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Unix and Linux network stacks, including the use of command line tools.
• Proven experience with multicast design, particularly within high-performance trading environments.
• A results-driven mindset paired with the flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated capacity to lead significant network infrastructure projects.
• Professional fluency in English.
