Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in cyber security to join our IT team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, perfect for a seasoned professional with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in enterprise networking. You will play a vital role in securing and maintaining our IT infrastructure while providing essential support across our office and data center environments.
Your impact
- Design, implement, and manage robust security controls and improvements to protect our network infrastructure.
- Oversee the configuration and deployment of network hardware, including switches, wireless access points, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Maintain the integrity of our systems through proactive threat prevention, intrusion detection, and the management of complex routing protocols and IPsec tunnels.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a United States citizen with a deep understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP protocol stack. We are looking for someone who brings the following expertise to the table:
- Extensive experience managing Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, and SSL decryption.
- Proficiency in network switch management, VLAN configuration, and both copper and fiber cable management.
- Strong skills in documenting network configurations and creating visual diagrams using tools like MS Visio.
- A solid grasp of network monitoring and log management tools such as Nagios, Grafana, or NetFlow.
- Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
