What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our mobile product. As more of our users turn to mobile devices to learn, you will have the opportunity to build a world-class experience that directly impacts our ability to democratize data science education globally.
What will you do?
- Lead the development of our mobile application, focusing on creating the best possible environment for learning Data Science and AI.
- Take ownership of key components within our microservices architecture while collaborating with the team to build scalable solutions.
- Mentor and support fellow engineers to help them grow while contributing to our overall technical strategy and mobile product roadmap.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a pragmatic problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and values transparency and ownership. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in mobile development, with a track record of successfully launching applications using React Native, GraphQL, and NodeJS.
- A deep understanding of mobile performance optimization, including how to address memory leaks, dropped frames, and rendering issues.
- Experience building robust CI pipelines, including automated releases, end-to-end testing, and release health monitoring.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and the ability to write Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin when the project requires it.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a genuine interest in the fields of data science and education.
