Senior ML Research Scientist at Nextsense

We are looking for a Senior ML Research Scientist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Our organization is dedicated to pioneering the future of wearable neurotechnology. We focus on creating advanced biosensing earbud systems that bridge the gap between fundamental scientific research and practical clinical applications. By working with us, you will help translate complex neurological data into meaningful consumer and medical products that improve lives.

Key outcomes

• Lead and execute high-level research initiatives aimed at advancing our proprietary biosensing earbud technology.
• Utilize your expertise in signal processing, machine learning, and statistical analysis to decode intricate biosignals.
• Create robust algorithms capable of identifying both healthy and pathological neural signatures automatically.
• Build and maintain efficient data analysis pipelines to handle large-scale physiological datasets gathered from clinical studies.
• Interpret findings from pilot and clinical trials to inform our ongoing development efforts.
• Work alongside medical specialists, engineers, and product managers to transition research findings into functional prototypes.
• Support our academic presence by contributing to conference abstracts and peer-reviewed publications.
• Develop internal tools and open-source libraries that enhance our collective research and development workflows.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in research and machine learning, specifically within the context of signal processing and statistical analysis. You must be comfortable working in an interdisciplinary environment where you will communicate complex concepts to hardware and software engineers. Proficiency in English is required for all documentation and collaborative efforts.
