The role
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Integration Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Germany. This is a senior-level position where you will play a pivotal role in bringing our products to life. You will be based in our Munich office as part of a hybrid work model, collaborating with a diverse, international team to bridge the gap between mechanical, software, and electronics engineering.
Core responsibilities
- Define technical requirements for system components and create detailed drawings and test scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with internal software teams and external suppliers to evaluate prototypes and finalize product components.
- Conduct rigorous testing of early-stage prototypes and final solutions to ensure they meet all performance and safety standards.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in industrial automation and mechatronics. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, including electrical components like PLCs, servos, sensors, and power supplies.
- Proficiency in CAD design for metal and polymer components, with a solid understanding of DFM principles.
- Experience developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using tools such as EPLAN Electric.
- Deep knowledge of fieldbus communication protocols, specifically Profinet and EtherCAT.
- Fluency in both English and German.
- A proven ability to bridge the gap between mechanical, software, and electronics engineering disciplines.
Compensation and benefits
