Senior Manager, Software Engineering at Paciolan

Paciolan is the leading primary ticketing provider for college athletics and the second-largest in the United States, serving performing arts, arenas, and professional sports. We support over 500 live entertainment organizations and process more than 120 million tickets annually through our comprehensive suite of technology, fundraising, and marketing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams by fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and customer success leadership to define long-term vision and strategy.
• Drive project execution by prioritizing initiatives based on ROI and balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability.
• Recruit and retain high-performing engineering talent while acting as a force multiplier for the entire organization.
• Partner with principal engineers to maintain high standards for performance, maintainability, and system architecture.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to accelerate our delivery processes.
• Maintain visibility into system incidents and communicate effectively across the organization.
• Balance hands-on technical involvement with high-level leadership to unblock teams and ensure project success.

Must-haves

• At least 6 years of experience leading architecture discussions and managing complex technical projects at scale.
• Proven track record of mentoring team members and developing them into effective leaders.
• Deep technical curiosity and the ability to dive into code when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and a founder-like mindset toward building impactful products.
• Experience working with our core technology stack, including Java, NodeJS, React, TypeScript, Terraform, Redis, Kafka, and MySQL.
• Fluency in English.

• Prior experience managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $190,000.
