Role at a glance
We are searching for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead our cross-functional Insights team. This is a full-time, remote position for a seasoned manager who is ready to oversee a team of approximately 10 engineers within our broader 30-person software organization. You will be responsible for guiding the development of customer-facing analytics, API integrations, and cloud-based services from anywhere within our approved U.S. states.
Your impact
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of Software, Site Reliability, and AI/ML Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of our software services.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of customer-facing analytics, user interfaces, and data lake integrations while ensuring our API and UI SLAs are consistently met.
- Champion a strong culture of Agile and DevOps excellence, specifically focusing on CI/CD practices and the deployment of software to secure networks.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager in a fast-paced development environment.
- An active U.S. security clearance and the ability to meet ITAR requirements for handling space technology.
- Extensive background in building and maintaining cloud-based services using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proven ability to deploy software services to U.S. High Side networks.
- Strong technical proficiency with databases like Postgres or MySQL.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Perks and compensation
The salary range for this position is $205,000 - $261,000 USD. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including your specific skills, experience, and location. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:
