Senior Manager, Engineering at Evidation

We are currently seeking a hands-on Senior Manager, Engineering to join our Client Engineering team. This is a full-time, remote position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key outcomes

• Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to define requirements and navigate technical tradeoffs with our clients.
• Guide your team through the architecture, implementation, and delivery of complex partner integrations and programs.
• Mentor and lead a team of full-stack engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of high performance.
• Oversee project lifecycles to ensure we meet quality standards, budget requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical or resource risks to keep our initiatives on track.
• Contribute to our broader technical strategy by partnering with product management and engineering leadership.
• Maintain a secure and compliant work environment by enforcing rigorous development and productivity standards.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, developing, and retaining talent within a distributed team.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud-based software services.
• A minimum of 3 years of management experience, specifically leading teams of 8 to 10 people.
• Proven experience overseeing external staff augmentation teams.
• Deep technical proficiency in modern frameworks and architectures, including Ruby on Rails, React, ReactNative, Swift, and Kotlin.
• Expertise in scalable database management using Postgres, Aurora, and Snowflake.
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure and deployment, specifically AWS and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of security standards such as OWASP, ISO, and SOC2.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to interface directly with clients.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Prior experience in a client-facing role.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $202,000 to $238,000. In addition to the base salary, this role includes a bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. We also offer the convenience of remote work. Please note that actual starting pay is determined based on individual experience, skills, training, and work location.
