We are Zus, a shared health data platform founded in 2021 by Jonathan Bush. Our mission is to accelerate healthcare data interoperability by making patient information easily accessible through APIs, embedded components, and direct EHR integrations. We partner with HIEs and various data networks to translate clinical history into actionable insights at the point of care. We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will lead our core data integration teams as they develop and maintain services that connect to vital healthcare information sources. This is a hybrid position based in the United States, and you will report directly to our CTO.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor multiple teams of engineers, fostering an environment that prioritizes innovation and collaboration.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance, including direct code development, to ensure our system architecture remains high-quality and reliable.
- Define the long-term strategic direction for our data acquisition and integration efforts while continuously improving our engineering policies and practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior engineering leader within complex, high-scale technical environments.
- Significant experience working in dynamic settings, such as early-stage startups, with a strong background in public cloud platforms.
- Technical proficiency in data integration and backend technologies, specifically including Go, Snowflake, DynamoDB, and AWS.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- A demonstrated track record of growing team members into leadership roles and managing both on-shore and off-shore staff.
