We are Quanata, a company building context-based insurance solutions that combine Silicon Valley innovation with the long-term support of State Farm. Our team of data scientists, actuaries, engineers, designers, and marketers works together to create the next generation of digital insurance products and experiences. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Cloud Platforms to lead our platform engineering efforts and help shape how we design, govern, and operate our cloud environment.
What you'll be doing
- Lead a team of platform engineers who design, build, and maintain Quanata’s cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Run a cloud governance program that keeps our use of cloud technologies consistent, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Define and track key performance indicators that measure the productivity of the Cloud Platform team, our development operations, and the solutions we deliver to internal customers.
What you'll bring
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, along with six to eight years of relevant work. Within that experience you will have spent at least three years managing cloud infrastructure or DevOps teams, five years deploying solutions in AWS or other major cloud platforms, five years working with PaaS and IaaS environments, and three years supporting consumer-facing websites and technologies. You communicate clearly in writing and in conversation, contribute thoughtfully during code reviews, and bring strong troubleshooting skills with careful attention to detail. Experience in regulated industries or in insurance is a plus.
What you'll get
We offer a salary range of $250,000 to $350,000. In addition, you will receive medical, dental, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, a remote-work setup stipend of $2,000 for home office equipment, four weeks of PTO in your first year, twelve weeks of fully paid parental leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents, up to $5,000 annually for professional development, a LinkedIn Learning subscription, and access to coaching through BetterUp. This is a remote-first role open to candidates anywhere in the United States (excluding U.S. territories), with core collaboration hours from 9 AM to 2 PM Pacific time. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation.
