We are looking for a dedicated Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team on-site in the United States. In this role, you will oversee the physical operations and upkeep of our commercial retail properties, ensuring they remain in top-tier condition while maintaining a high-quality environment for our tenants and guests.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure building systems, such as hot water boilers, exhaust fans, and pool filtration equipment, operate safely and efficiently.
- Complete service requests promptly and report potential safety hazards to management.
- Maintain expertise in property-specific needs, including electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical work, and general repairs.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to enforce safety policies and promote safe work practices.
- Provide labor and operational support for center events as needed.
- Remain available for emergency on-call duties, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Must-haves
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial building, retail center facilities, or a related construction and maintenance field.
- Medium to advanced knowledge of property maintenance, including proficiency in electrical systems and general repairs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.
- Ability to speak, write, and comprehend English at an intermediate level.
- A valid California Driver's License.
- Willingness to complete safety training for boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet competing deadlines, and maintain a professional appearance in the required uniform.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification from an accredited college or trade school.
- Formal training or certificates from organizations like BOMA or IREM.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in specialized trades such as HVAC, carpentry, or general contracting.
