The opportunity

We are searching for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our cloud infrastructure strategy. You will take ownership of how we design, implement, and maintain our cloud environments, ensuring that our systems are not only scalable and secure but also optimized for performance. By bridging the gap between our business objectives and our technical architecture, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our maritime operations.

A day in the life

• You will architect and manage robust cloud infrastructure, including servers, networking, firewalls, and databases, with a primary focus on Azure environments.
• You will champion the use of Infrastructure as Code practices to automate deployments and streamline the management of our cloud resources.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to monitor cloud costs, enforce security compliance, and ensure our systems are running at peak efficiency.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least 7 years of experience in cloud systems engineering. You possess a strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges. To thrive in this role, you should bring the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in Azure, complemented by working knowledge of other platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and a solid understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Fluency in English is essential, and the ability to communicate in Dutch is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while guiding your colleagues.
