The role
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in Germany. This is a senior-level position for someone who wants to move beyond simple coordination to take full, holistic ownership of complex projects. You will act as the primary bridge between our clients, internal departments, and project teams, ensuring that every project is delivered with a sharp focus on quality, structure, and sustainable success.
Core responsibilities
- End-to-end project ownership: You will lead projects through their entire lifecycle, from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring that scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards remain perfectly aligned.
- Strategic project structuring: You will design and implement customized roadmaps, workflows, and governance models, selecting the best combination of agile, classic, or hybrid methodologies to meet specific client goals.
- Proactive management and analysis: You will identify risks early, maintain high quality through rigorous standards, and manage budgets effectively using KPI analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning to optimize project performance.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in project management and a desire to lead cross-functional teams. We look for the following qualifications:
- A degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience managing complex projects using a variety of agile and traditional methodologies.
- Deep expertise in project planning, risk management, quality assurance, and data-driven project steering.
- Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks clearly, and take responsibility for project outcomes.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budget management, forecasting, and efficiency improvements.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills, with professional proficiency in both German and English.
