Senior iOS Engineer at Post

We are currently seeking a Senior or Principal level iOS Engineer to join our team and help us refine the mobile experience for Post. Our platform is a social space dedicated to fostering civil conversations, sharing real news, and connecting people through meaningful ideas. This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States.

Key outcomes

• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle for our mobile application.
• Collaborate with our cross-functional team to prioritize and implement impactful new features.
• Design and build sophisticated iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Maintain high standards for application performance, responsiveness, and overall code quality.
• Work within a small, mission-driven team where every member acts as an individual contributor.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in iOS development.
• A proven track record of designing and building complex iOS applications from the ground up.
• Deep knowledge of the iOS SDK and core frameworks, specifically UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Graphics.
• Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and handling data formats like JSON and XML.
• Strong experience with Git for version control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative group.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience working in a startup environment.
• Background in developing social applications or enterprise social networking tools.
