The role

We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United Kingdom. In this senior-level position, you will be instrumental in shaping our mobile presence. You will design and build a high-performing, user-centric iOS application from the ground up, ensuring our digital shopping experience is seamless, engaging, and innovative.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of our iOS application using Swift, ensuring a scalable foundation that aligns with our business goals.
• Manage complex API integrations to connect our mobile platform with backend services hosted on AWS, facilitating efficient data exchange and robust e-commerce functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement core shopping features and maintain high standards of quality assurance through rigorous testing and performance optimization.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical expertise:

• Extensive experience in iOS development with a deep proficiency in Swift.
• Proven ability to manage API integrations and work within AWS cloud environments.
• Experience in the e-commerce sector, with a strong understanding of how to build intuitive user interfaces and shopping features.
• A commitment to quality assurance and the ability to maintain high software standards.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a desire to mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive technical culture.
• Fluency in English.
