At Divergent, we are fundamentally changing how the world builds vehicles. Our team has pioneered the Divergent Adaptive Production System, or DAPS, which uses advanced machine learning and additive manufacturing to create complex vehicle structures that are faster to market and more efficient than ever before. As we transition from our roots as a Tier 1 automotive supplier into the high-stakes world of Aerospace and Defense, we are looking for someone who shares our passion for innovation and security to help us protect the future of manufacturing.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to serve as a cornerstone of our IT department. In this role, you will be the primary advocate for our information security posture, ensuring that our systems are not only robust but also fully compliant with rigorous standards like NIST 800-171 and CMMC. You will sit at the intersection of technology and compliance, helping us build a secure foundation that supports our mission-critical work in the aerospace and defense sectors.
A day in the life
- You will scope, implement, and maintain security solutions while mapping our internal configurations and standard operating procedures to complex regulatory compliance standards.
- You will act as a frontline defender by responding to security incidents, triaging potential threats, and identifying gaps in our current security environment to report to leadership.
- You will champion a culture of security by developing and distributing clear documentation and training materials to educate our teams on best practices and operational excellence.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with a deep background in technology and a sharp eye for detail. You possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technology field and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in information security. You are fluent in English and have a strong grasp of security frameworks and compliance requirements. Ideally, you hold a Master’s degree in Information Security or other industry-recognized certifications. You are someone who handles sensitive information with the highest level of integrity and discretion, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can both execute technical tasks and mentor others on security best practices.

We believe in taking care of our people so they can focus on doing their best work. You will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and professional growth. This includes:
- Medical insurance options to keep you and your family healthy.
- Generous paid time off to ensure you have time to recharge.
- Dedicated support for your professional development through reimbursement opportunities for learning and training initiatives.
