The role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior HV Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. This is a senior individual contributor position that offers a clear path for professional growth into a management role, where you will have the opportunity to lead a team of two to three people. You will be instrumental in designing and ensuring the reliability of our commercial solar projects while acting as a strategic communicator across our diverse Asian markets.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the electrical power system design for solar PV projects, covering everything from LV to HV AC, including transformer sizing, switchgear, protection systems, and transmission line design.
• Provide technical leadership by guiding business development and project teams, while reviewing detailed designs from EPC contractors to ensure strict adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a primary communicator across Asian markets to support large-scale tenders, lead supplier and EPC discussions, and foster strong relationships with our key project partners.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in designing electrical power systems for solar energy, ranging from commercial installations to utility-scale projects.
• Deep understanding of power distribution principles for voltages ranging from LV to 200KV, along with familiarity with IEC standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and drafting, as well as the MS Office suite for documentation and analysis.
• Strong leadership potential and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills, with a preference for candidates who have experience navigating the regulatory landscapes of various Asian markets.
