What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a critical role in developing the SaaS platform that powers our mixed reality engine. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our AR experiences reach millions of users by building the robust backend systems that keep our platform running smoothly.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and maintain the underlying platform infrastructure that supports all Illumix AR experiences, working closely with our agile engineering team.
• Develop high-performance RESTful APIs and complex data pipelines using JavaScript and TypeScript within a Google Cloud environment.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Google Cloud Platform, helping the team implement scalable, highly available solutions that meet our customers' needs.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in cloud-native development and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience with server-side Node.js development using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• At least 4 years of experience building cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform, specifically utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• At least 2 years of experience managing data within NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience building multi-tenant SaaS products that handle authentication standards like SAML and OAuth.
• A track record of contributing to a greenfield project that successfully scaled to at least 1 million requests per month.
• Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global team.
