What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Golang DevTools Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will focus on building and maintaining high-quality developer tooling within the cloud-native ecosystem.

What will you do?

• Design and implement new features for our open-source project, DevPod, as well as our commercial offering, DevPod Pro.
• Take full ownership of your work, from initial planning and coding to testing, documentation, and final release.
• Engage directly with our community and enterprise customers to understand their challenges, provide technical support, and drive product improvements.

What makes you a great fit?

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for open-source technology. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of professional programming experience, with strong proficiency in Golang.
• A deep conceptual understanding of micro-services, containerization, and complex distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience working with Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication skills in English, as we value open collaboration within our distributed team.
• A genuine interest in building developer tools and automation, along with a desire to share your learnings publicly with the community.
