Orbital Sidekick is establishing a space-based infrastructure of HSI sensors and analytic capabilities to enable real-time monitoring, detection, and risk management.
OSK is seeking a Senior Geospatial Software Engineer to join our SIGMA software engineering team. SIGMA is OSK’s system for processing imagery and delivering results to customers. In this role you will report to the Lead Data Pipeline Software Engineer, designing and coding production data pipelines to calibrate, rectify, analyze and otherwise process hyperspectral imagery (HSI) from our GHOSt satellite constellation. Additionally, you will work closely with our payload & analytics teams to bring research algorithms to the SIGMA platform.

5+ years of experience writing software in Python with geospatial dataExperience writing code for a production environmentExtensive knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools such as AirflowExtensive knowledge of GDAL, Rasterio and other open-source GIS toolsExtensive knowledge of cloud computing deployments (e.g., AWS) and Linux environmentsExperience with scientific computing libraries such as numpy and xarrayExperience That Will Give You an Advantage
