What you bring

We are searching for a Senior Geospatial Software Engineer to join our SIGMA engineering team on a full-time, remote basis. You will report to our Lead Data Pipeline Software Engineer, focusing on the design and implementation of production pipelines that process imagery from our GHOSt satellite constellation. Your work will be central to our mission, leveraging your expertise in Python, Airflow, GDAL, Rasterio, AWS, Linux, NumPy, and Xarray to bridge the gap between research algorithms and our production platform.

• Develop and deploy image processing algorithms within an automated production environment.
• Create and maintain robust tools to monitor and manage our processing systems.
• Work alongside our payload and analytics teams to integrate new processing operations and prioritize key features.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have at least five years of experience developing software with geospatial data using Python. You must be comfortable working in a production environment and possess deep technical knowledge of data pipeline orchestration, cloud deployments on AWS, and Linux systems. Proficiency with open-source GIS tools and scientific computing libraries is essential. We value candidates who communicate effectively in English and bring a collaborative spirit.
