Role at a glance

We are looking for a Senior Geospatial Software Engineer to join our SIGMA team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere. You will report directly to our Lead Data Pipeline Software Engineer and play a key role in designing and coding the production pipelines that process imagery from our GHOSt satellite constellation.

Your impact

Develop and implement complex image processing algorithms within an automated production environment.
Create and maintain robust tools designed to monitor and manage our processing systems.
Partner closely with our satellite payload and analytics teams to integrate research-driven algorithms into the SIGMA platform.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should be fluent in English and possess the following technical background:

At least 5 years of professional experience developing software with Python and geospatial data.
Proven ability to write high-quality code for production environments.
Deep expertise in data pipeline orchestration, specifically with Airflow.
Extensive knowledge of open-source GIS tools like GDAL and Rasterio.
Strong experience with AWS cloud deployments and Linux environments.
Proficiency with scientific computing libraries including NumPy and Xarray.

Bonus points if you have experience with machine learning, remote sensing analytics, imaging principles, or earth sciences.
