The role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position for an experienced engineer who is ready to take ownership of our proprietary order and inventory management systems. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital infrastructure, working closely with our leadership and product teams to build technology that makes sustainable food more accessible to everyone.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Laravel and Vue.js to ensure high performance and a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate complex requirements into clean, maintainable, and well-documented technical solutions.
• Optimize our database structures and application performance while proactively identifying and mitigating technical debt to keep our systems running efficiently.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a deep technical background and a passion for building reliable software. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• At least 8 years of professional experience with mastery of Laravel and Vue.js.
• Strong proficiency in OOP, TDD, and testing methodologies like PHPUnit.
• Extensive experience building RESTful APIs and single-page applications.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including the ability to write highly efficient SQL queries.
• Practical experience with Git, AWS, and Docker in a collaborative development environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote setting.
• A commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and a drive to stay current with emerging industry trends.

Compensation and benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and well-being, including:
