We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of travel technology. At Hopper, our fintech products drive 70% of our total revenue, and we are currently focused on expanding our disruption and insurance offerings. You will have a direct impact on the systems that power our award-winning user experience, working within an entrepreneurial culture that values risk-taking and bold ideas. Because we operate in small, dynamic teams, your contributions will be highly visible and meaningful.
What you'll be doing
- You will take ownership of projects by planning, investigating, and scoping out new initiatives from start to finish.
- You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, which includes writing, reviewing, and refining high-quality code.
- You will stay at the cutting edge of our tech stack by learning new services and features, such as those within GCP, to provide ongoing value to our platform.
What you'll bring
- Extensive experience in full-stack development and a commitment to maintaining high standards for system reliability and quality.
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end libraries.
- Proven experience working with Scala or other JVM languages like Kotlin or Java in a production environment.
- A professional background in the fintech or travel industries, which helps you understand the unique technical challenges we face.
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our team.
