Senior Fullstack Engineer at Onfido

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. At Onfido, we help people prove their identity securely and simply, enabling them to access services like banking or car rentals from anywhere in the world. As an established global company with over 1,200 customers and more than $130M in annual recurring revenue, we are dedicated to building AI-powered verification solutions that prioritize fairness and accessibility. We are a team of 500 people who value diverse perspectives and are committed to solving complex, meaningful problems together.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, end-to-end software architectures while maintaining the flexibility to work across both frontend and backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, user-focused experiences.
• Participate in pair programming and provide constructive feedback during code reviews to help the team move fast and maintain high standards of software quality.

Requirements

We value a strong engineering mindset over experience with any specific language, though we look for candidates who are comfortable with the following:

• Proven experience in software engineering, including a deep understanding of system design, architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• A product-centric mindset with the ability to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle within a Lean or Agile environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, including testers, designers, and product owners.
• While we are technology agnostic, familiarity with React, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, or AWS cloud-native architectures is highly beneficial.
