We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our MoveHQ division at Updater. Our company simplifies the moving process for 12 million households annually, providing a platform that handles everything from utility transfers to mail forwarding for thousands of real estate partners across the United States.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy new features across our MoveHQ product suite using PHP, Ruby on Rails, and modern web technologies.
Lead technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring all work meets our high standards for performance, security, and scalability.
Improve our overall software quality by refining development standards and engineering processes.
Mentor junior team members and share best practices to foster technical excellence.
Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable deployments for our applications.

Must-haves

At least 5 years of professional experience in web software development.
Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and backend languages like Ruby.
Proven success in developing and shipping high-quality SaaS products.
Deep understanding of relational databases and ORM systems.
Hands-on experience with testing automation frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Jira.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote, distributed team.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Experience building software within highly regulated environments or compliance-focused industries.

Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $190,000, depending on individual qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
