Senior Fullstack Engineer at Arkestro

Key outcomes

• Act as a primary contributor to both our front-end and back-end codebases, driving new features from concept through production.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and quality engineers to deliver reliable, scalable capabilities that meet enterprise requirements.
• Collaborate with QA to confirm that designs are technically feasible and perform consistently across devices and browsers.
• Work with product management and technical leads to estimate work, set commitments, and maintain quality across the full software-development lifecycle.
• Introduce and refine best practices, tools, and processes that improve development efficiency and code quality.
• Provide clear status updates, risk assessments, and issue reports to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Share on-call responsibilities to ensure platform reliability and rapid incident response.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience building and scaling production applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in modern front-end development using React and TypeScript.
• Practical experience deploying and operating services on AWS.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Five or more years of Ruby on Rails development.
• Four or more years working with React, JavaScript or TypeScript, Next.js, CSS, and design tools such as Figma.
• Two or more years of experience with AWS or Kubernetes environments that include service meshes such as Istio.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $180,000 USD. In addition to competitive pay, we offer startup equity, medical insurance covered up to 100 percent, dental and vision coverage, generous 401(k) matching, unlimited PTO, a one-time $1,500 home-office allowance, and an annual $1,000 learning-and-development budget. We are a remote-first organization with flexible work hours and periodic in-person team events.
