What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to serve as a Tech Lead in a full-time, hybrid capacity within the United States. You will play a pivotal role in our engineering culture, where you will have full ownership over your code and the infrastructure it runs on. Your work will involve utilizing your skills in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, and AWS to build scalable, reliable systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Building polished, accessible end-user experiences for students and administrators while developing robust APIs for our partners.
• Leading the team through the iteration process by scoping stories and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborating directly with internal stakeholders and customers to design and implement interfaces that provide a truly delightful user experience.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 6 years of experience working in a SaaS startup environment, where you have consistently owned the full end-to-end technology stack. We require a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience from a bootcamp. You should be highly proficient in Python and TypeScript, with a strong grasp of SQL, HTML, CSS, and cloud platforms like AWS. Beyond your technical hard skills, you must be an effective mentor who is comfortable guiding other engineers. We value candidates who are opinionated about UX and API design and who possess the soft skills necessary to partner effectively with stakeholders to see a project through from initial design to final implementation.
