What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our Berlin-based team on a part-time basis. CryptoTicker delivers news and insights on blockchain and emerging technologies to a global audience, and we are now moving from our existing WordPress site to a modern web3-ready experience. In this role you will help migrate data into a headless Strapi PostgreSQL backend and implement a new front-end with React components styled in Tailwind CSS. Three main responsibilities include collaborating daily with product managers, engineers, and designers to translate business goals into working features, building reusable components and libraries that improve long-term maintainability, and identifying performance bottlenecks while troubleshooting and resolving issues. The position is based in Berlin with hybrid arrangements available.

Requirements

We expect strong hands-on experience with Next.js and React, including familiarity with ISR and SSR patterns, along with knowledge of supporting packages such as Next-SEO and Next-Sitemap. You should be comfortable working with Strapi CMS and its plugins, styling interfaces in Tailwind CSS or writing custom styles, and managing code through GitHub. Solid understanding of Docker and Docker Compose, JavaScript ES6 or TypeScript, Node.js LTS, and both GraphQL and REST API design is essential. Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, AWS services such as EC2, RDS, or Lightsail, Vercel deployments, PostgreSQL, and API security practices including OAuth and JWT will help you succeed. We also value familiarity with Linear for sprint tracking and Notion for documentation. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, enjoys working in a fast-moving international environment, and brings a proactive mindset to problem solving. English proficiency is required.
