At ChargeLab, we are building the software that powers the future of transportation. Think of us as the Android of the EV charging world. We do not manufacture hardware ourselves. Instead, we partner with industry leaders like Siemens, ABB, and Eaton to integrate our advanced software with their charging stations. Our platform is used by utilities, building owners, and fleet managers to oversee thousands of chargers through our management system and open APIs. With 30 million USD in funding and a team of 65 people, we are scaling rapidly to meet the demand as electric vehicles become the standard across North America.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. You will be a key member of a dynamic development pod, focusing heavily on front-end development while leveraging your backend expertise. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys owning features from start to finish within a SaaS environment. You will provide technical leadership, drive high-quality releases, and help us maintain our rapid pace of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features within our SaaS platform, with a primary focus on delivering high-quality front-end solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers within your pod and across the wider organization to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate effectively with product, design, and architecture teams to ensure the efficiency and speed of our development cycles.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong track record of delivering SaaS products.
• Deep expertise in React for frontend development.
• Proficiency in Java or object-oriented programming, along with experience in microservice and event-driven architectures.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for mentoring peers.
• Prior experience in B2B or B2C SaaS is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with AWS.

Location

This position is based in Canada. We operate on a hybrid model, with a beautiful office in Etobicoke that features subway access, free snacks, and catered lunches twice a week. While you can work from home for your daily deep work, we encourage team members to join us for quarterly planning and bi-weekly meetings. Please note that all team members are required to attend our biannual three-day onsite event, ChargeFest, in Toronto.
