Our SaaS platform helps over 2,700 nonprofit clients, ranging from local shelters to major institutions like the San Diego Zoo, to discover and manage grants with ease. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our fully distributed team. You will play a vital role in our growth, helping us build high-quality, strategic solutions that empower our customers to drive social progress.
What you'll be doing
- Design and implement responsive interfaces and robust APIs that make the fundraising experience intuitive and efficient for our users.
- Take full ownership of complex technical problems, managing projects from initial ideation through to final deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with our product, design, and content teams to enhance our internal tooling and ensure our platform remains the best in its class.
What you'll bring
We are looking for a versatile engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within a startup setting. Your technical background should include proficiency with the following:
- Ruby on Rails and JavaScript.
- Database and search technologies such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Modern web standards including HTML and CSS.
- Cloud infrastructure management, specifically Heroku.
Because our team is distributed, you must be comfortable working remotely and have significant overlap with Pacific Time Zone hours. You should be fluent in English and have a passion for mentoring others while maintaining high code quality.
What you'll get
