The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling our platform and solving the technical challenges that come with building a sophisticated, data-driven product. You will work in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work remotely or collaborate in person at our offices in Toronto or Vancouver. This is a unique chance to help shape our engineering culture and build software that directly impacts how people are paid.

A day in the life

• You will tackle complex technical hurdles and ship new features, balancing the need for rapid experimentation with the requirement for long-term, scalable architecture.
• You will work alongside our product and design teams in an agile environment, ensuring that every line of code serves a clear business purpose and addresses real user needs.
• You will focus on robust database design and schema management, while building secure, high-quality integrations and APIs that keep our platform reliable.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer who has successfully shipped cloud-based software products to market. You thrive in a multi-tenant SaaS environment and have a solid grasp of our core stack, including Node.js, GraphQL, Hasura, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, and ReactJS. You understand the importance of data privacy and security, and you have experience working with cloud infrastructure. While we use specific tools like Vite and NestJS, we value deep technical expertise and a hunger to learn over mastery of every single tool we use. You are a clear communicator in English who enjoys collaborating with others and is always eager to grow.
